What is vibroacoustic therapy?

Vibroacoustic therapy uses specific sound frequencies and vibrations to promote relaxation, reduce stress, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being. The process involves lying on a specialized platform that transmits soothing vibrations while calming sounds play through headphones.

Is there any physical touch involved in the sessions?

Standard VAVE sessions do not involve any physical touch—your experience takes place entirely on the vibroacoustic platform, guided by sound and vibration. However, our VAVE Assist offering typically includes hands-on support. This may include gentle bodywork (such as massage or supported stretching) or intuitive energy work, depending on your needs and preferences. All touch-based support is delivered with care by trained practitioners and is entirely consent-based.

What should I wear to experience VAVE?

We recommend wearing comfortable, non-restrictive clothing that allows you to fully relax. You’ll be asked to remove your shoes, jewelry, and any hair accessories that might cause discomfort while lying down. The VAVE Biomat is most effective with skin contact, so we encourage you to leave as much skin uncovered as you feel comfortable. (Think: bare arms, legs, or lower back—whatever feels right for you.) The Biomat is gently heated, and cozy blankets are always available to ensure your comfort.

Is VAVE safe?

Yes, the VAVE platform is designed with safety in mind. Vibroacoustic therapy, involves the application of sound vibrations to the body in a controlled and gentle manner. This non-invasive technique is generally considered safe for most people. However, as with any therapeutic approach, it's important for individuals with specific health conditions, such as severe heart issues, pacemakers, or pregnancy, to consult with a healthcare provider before participating. The platform's settings and features are carefully calibrated to ensure a safe and beneficial experience for all users.
